Beauty Haul | Autumn Edition

Hey guys,
So I thought that I would do a haul today, as I love reading them and I love writing them, so why not?! This is a combination of products that I have bought over the past couple of weeks, and ranges from lipsticks to body conditioner (ooo, I wonder where that's from...?)

So firstly, we have the very beautiful Satin Lip Pencil from Nars in the shade Hyde Park. This is a very beautiful dark red, and it is the perfect shade for autumn/winter. As you can see, I have tried this (I'm sorry, I know that I should have taken pictures before, but I just couldn't resist), and I am in love. As it is a satin lip pencil, it is a very creamy formula and glides onto your lips effortlessly. Plus, the pigmentation is insane and one layer covers your lips completely without leaving any gaps or off bits (not very technical but you get my drift). This is such a big deal for me, as my lips seem to hate lipstick and it just does not glide on without a couple of goes, so this is amazing that it works straight away. I will definitely be buying more from this range! However, it was £20, so I won't be buying a lot as I am living off a student loan, but a girl can dream!

Next we have another lip product, which is the Sleek Matte Me in the shade Shabby Chic. I have seen this shade being used by many a beauty blogger and knew that I had to try it. I had initially wanted the shade Birthday Suit, but it seems to be sold out EVERYWHERE, so I thought that I would try out Shabby Chic, as it seemed like a pretty nude colour. However, it seemed to go SUPER dark brown on my lips, and I was very confused, as it looked like a lighter nude on others. However, I think it is just my lips, as Mac's Velvet Teddy looks really dark on me too. It doesn't help that I'm really pale either. However, it is still a nice shade, so I will be wearing it on those days where I'm feeling a dark lip. Plus, for £4.99, you can't really go wrong.

Next up we have eyelash curlers. I know this is probably a bit boring, but they are a necessity for us straight/short eyelashed girls. If I don't use them, my eyelashes are literally non-existent and it is very annoying, but can't be helped. So Monday was a sad day, as I actually broke my eyelash curlers so had to used them by moving them together with two hands and it was very awkward to do. So yeah, I had to invest in a new pair. These are from The Body Shop (which is where my last pair were from, and they lasted me ages), so I have high hopes! These were £5.

I then went to Lush (can you blame me, it's the best time of year to visit), and ended up buying the Snow Fairy Body Conditioner, which is a new addition this year to the Christmas range. I have always loved the Candy Mountain bath bomb, as it just smells amazing, so I thought I'd try this, as I have also heard great things about Lush's body conditioners. Plus, it's supposed to make you sparkle and smell of candyfloss after you use it and who doesn't want that? This was £13.95.

I also ended up buying the Autumn Leaf Bath Bomb, as it just smelt so damn good! Plus, the colours in it look insane, so I am definitely looking forward to going home and trying it out (sadly I don't have a bath at uni *insert crying face*). It's quite a big bath bomb too, so I will probably get a fair few uses out of it. And if you're wondering why it is not in the main photo or has the same background as the others, it's because I took this photo at home as I thought there was no point in me hauling it all the way back to uni when I can't even use it here, as this would just make me sad. This was £3.75.

So that is my beauty haul of the things that I have bought over the past two weeks, and honestly, writing this has just made me want to go and buy more, why do I do this to myself?? Damn you student loan. But yeah, I hope that you enjoyed and hope to see you all again soon!

What beauty products have you been loving recently?

Much love,

Review | Beauty Essentials UK Shadow Switch

Hey guys,

So I'm back with another review, and it's all about the Beauty Essentials Shadow Switch!

Like many people, I find cleaning my make up brushes to be such a chore, especially eyeshadow brushes! I mean, it would be ideal to use your trusty favourite brush for every colour, yet it just wasn't possible without washing the brush in between uses, especially after using a dark shade (which is going to become more common now that we are nearing on winter!)

Well guys, now you can.

I was very lucky to be approached by Beauty Essentials, and was thrilled at the chance to try their Shadow Switch, as it sounded like something that would be a life saver in helping me achieve those smoky eye looks with a limited amount of eyeshadow brushes.

At first, I didn't know what to expect, as it baffled me as to how the dry, wiry sponge can actually clean your brushes. Yet, it can, and has helped me create such fab Halloween eye looks. All you have to do is, after applying your first colour, swirl it around the sponge for about 10-20 seconds, and voila, a clean brush! This is definitely a good product for people who only have a few eyeshadow brushes (like me), and it saves so much time, as you're not having to clean every brush after every use! To clean the actual sponge, all you have to do is use warm, soapy water and then leave it to completely dry before your next use. It's so handy, and it's small size makes it very travel-friendly.

To be honest, I still don't understand how it works, but it's bloody good! It will definitely be saving me a lot of time when I'm running late getting ready for a night out!

You can find the Shadow Switch on Amazon for £5.99, and it is also soon to be stocked in Sephora!

I would like to thank Beauty Essentials for sending me such an amazing product to review, and I hope that you all enjoyed this post!

Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you all again soon!

Much love,

Grace x
