5 Things That I Love About Christmas | Blogmas

Right, let's get it out there, Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year. It's just the best, plus I get a month off uni #winning. Therefore, I thought I'd start off Blogmas with my 5 Things That I Love About Christmas.

1. The decorations - I'm not gonna lie, I love Christmas decorations. I have done ever since I was young and used to go to the outdoor shop with my mum and yell 'bonny yights' at all the Christmas decorations (don't judge me). I just love putting up the tree and then decorating it and then all the house looks so cool and Christmassy and everyone's happy and it's just fab.
2. The songs - I will listen to them non-stop when December starts. I just hope that my neighbours like Shakin' Stevens. Cause that's what they're gonna be listening to for the next 25 days.
3. Christmas dinner - You just don't eat anything else all day (apart from the odd chocolate bar) and just stuff your face with the biggest plate of dinner you have ever seen. I mean, come on, who can resist pigs in blankets?
4. Christmas markets - Going through all the stalls and finding all the cool food and crafts, and just getting all excited about where you're going to put them in your house (the crafts, not the food). Plus, they are always so pretty and if you're lucky, there will be an ice rink, and an outdoor ice rink surrounded by Christmas lights is just super festive. And hilarious when someone falls over.
5. Spending time with my family -  Cheesy as hell, I know, but I honestly do love it. Our tradition is to have everyone round ours after Christmas dinner to play games and we always do a quiz. Things get very competitive, it's fair to say, but it's always so fun. Plus, my mum got Pie Face for last Christmas and that was hilarious, so it will definitely be getting brought out this year too.

So there you have it, my 5 favourite things about Christmas. There are many more things that I love but I would literally go on forever, as you can probably tell that I am way too excited already!
